Overview
PollenCAT provides pollen and spore forecast information for monitoring stations in Catalonia and surrounding regions. This policy explains what data the app collects and how it is used.
Privacy Policy

Location Optional
The app may request access to your device location to automatically identify the nearest monitoring station. Location is processed only on-device and is never stored or transmitted to any server.
Forecast data
The app fetches forecast data from pollen.veikus.com. No personal information is included in these requests. Standard server access logs may record your IP address and app version.
Push notifications Optional
If you enable push notifications, the following information is sent to pollen.veikus.com to deliver alerts:
- A randomly generated installation identifier (stored on your device)
- Your APNS device token (provided by Apple)
- Your selected monitoring station
- Your subscribed allergen codes
- Your device locale and time zone
This data is used solely to send you relevant pollen alerts and is deleted from the server when you disable notifications.
Local storage
User preferences (selected station, allergen subscriptions, notification settings) and cached forecast data are stored locally on your device using standard iOS mechanisms.
Data sharing
The app does not sell personal data. No data is shared with third parties for advertising or analytics purposes.
